"NEW D.A.R.E. keepin’ it REAL Elementary Curriculum Announcement"

Work is progressing on development of a new D.A.R.E. "keepin’ it REAL"elementary curriculum. Training for the new curriculum is planned to commence during the 2011 D.A.R.E. International Training Conference in Nashville, T.N. The N.C. D.A.R.E. Training Center and the NCDOA will host various In-Service Trainings to assist all officers in becoming certified. There will be a New Curriculum Training Workshop at the 2012 State Conference in January 2012 which will be held in Wilmington, N.C. Please visit this website often for more dates and locations. However, it is not anticipated that student classroom materials will be available until well into the school year. It is recommended that planning and budget decisions reflect delivery of current D.A.R.E. elementary curriculum through the spring 2012 school semester.Update regarding development of the new curriculum will be provided as information becomes available. If you have any questions or concerns please email our State Coordinator Lt. Michael Adkins.
