Region 1 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Cherokee, Graham, Clay,     Swain,  Macon, Jackson, Haywood, Madison, Yancey, Mitchell, Buncombe, Henderson, Polk,Transylvania, McDowell and Rutherford.

Region 2 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Watuaga, Ashe, Alleghany,  Wilkes, Avery, Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell, Catawba, and Burke.

Region 3 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Stanley, Anson, Union,Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Gaston, Lincoln, and Cleveland.

Region 4 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Surry, Stokes, Yadkin,Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, and Rowan.

Region 5 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Rockingham, Guilford, Alamance, Randolph, Chatham, Montgomery, Moore, Lee, Caswell and Harnett.

Region 6 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Richmond, Scotland, Hoke,  Cumberland, Sampson, Robeson, Bladen, Columbus, and Brunswick.

Region 7- That region bounded by and including the counties of Person, Granville, Vance, Warren, Orange, Durham, Wake, Franklin, Nash and Johnston.

Region 8 - That region bounded by and including the counties of Wilson, Wayne, Greene,  Pitt, Lenoir, Jones, Duplin, Onslow, Craven, Carteret, Pamlico, Pender, and New Hanover.

Region 9 - That area bounded by and including the counties of Halifax, Northhampton, Hertford, Gates, Currituck, Camden, Pasquotank, Perguimans, Chowan, Bertie, Edgecombe, Martin, Washington, Tyrell, Dare, Hyde and Beaufort.
