The Ralph Robinson

D.A.R.E. Officer Of The Year Award

Sheriff Ralph Robinson of Perquimans County was always a strong advocate of the D.A.R.E. program in North Carolina.  He served the schools of Perquimans county as a D.A.R.E. Officer and a supporter of ways to help children fight the odds and stop drugs from getting into their lives.

Sheriff Robinson, lost his battle with cancer in the Winter of 2000.

The North Carolina D.A.R.E. Officer of the year award now bears his name and is given out each year by the N.C.D.O.A.   This award is given to a D.A.R.E. officer in the state who exemplifies what Ralph stood for.  And that is making our children drug and violence free.

This award is given out once a year to a nominated D.A.R.E. Officer at the annual Conference .
