NC D.A.R.E. OFFICER ASSOCIATION

 

Letter from the President:

 

                    As we get ready to start the new school season, I hope that you had a good summer.  But like we say our job never ends, D.A.R.E. is needed more now than ever before..

                    What a lot of people do not realize is that gangs and drugs go together…and if you read the papers, our young people are starting to use over-the-counter drugs on a daily basis, and we as D.A.R.E. officers have to continue to stay on top of this problem and  cannot give up.

                    N.C.D.O.A. needs your support, we need you to come to the State Conference so you can meet and discuss problems in your schools with other officers that may be having the same problems in their community. It will be surprising how all of us are having the same problems and maybe we can come to a solutions.

                   The 2009 Conference is set for Jan. 12-16, 2009 at the Sheraton at Atlantic Beach. We ask you to come on down and get certified in the training that you may have missed at the Nationals, also to network with your fellow D.A.R.E. officers
